Goth Carter - PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC [Wild Cherry]
[Youtube 720 quality]
HARMONY MUSIC BAR is a lovely small bar with a warm vibe, run by Bobby [USA]. It is in Tamatsukuri [inner Osaka], near both the JR loop line and Nagahori subway stations.
So happy to see that most [all?] of the people who filled up HARMONY BAR came to see me [rather than just 'by chance']!! HUGE THANK YOU EVERYONE!!
Mark my new Aussie mate and fan came for the 3rd time and sat in the VIP [sic] seats at the front. Turns out Mark is a mean tambourine player. He used my AMPAN MAN TAMBOURINE which I use for my original KAMPAI SONG [that sounds suspiciously similar to Queen's WE WILL ROCK YOU!] to hammer out a solid rhythm throughout the 2nd set.
MARK....MARK.....MARK.... [Is there an echo in here?] Simon Yates of Crocodile and the Dundees fame, who, although being British [a distinct disadvantage, from my Australian point-of-view] is quite a mean performer, specializing in live looping brought along his mates - all named 'Mark'. Reminds me of Monty Python's spoof of us Aussies: "G'day Bruce!" "G'day to you too, Bruce!"...
Thanks to Michael the bar manager [when Bobby is away] who ONCE AGAIN REALLY GOT INTO MY MUSIC - DANCING AROUND behind the bar as he served drinks and food. "I really enjoyed your last show!" he said "But I enjoyed this show even more!" HUGE THANKS MIKE!
FRED MERZ as always came and shot the hand held 2nd camera video which helps the music videos have energy and excitement and can show audience reaction to my show. Fred is also one of my guitar and bass students at my GCG SCHOOL and often brings his bass and plays a few songs with me. On the 3rd he wasn't able to bring his bass, so only video. Next time buddy! Thanks as always mate!
As said, most of the audience came to see my show. Many had been to at least one previous show. I am famous for forgetting names. SO SORRY. I remember Kenta, but forgot his lovely lady's name. Maybe Risa was sitting next to you? Also, the 2 ladies who came all the way from Izumisano. Thanks!! Hope to see you all at the next show!!
Bobby Brown also arrived during Set 2 to help with the drink and food orders and to pass my TIP JAR around. [That's IMPORTANT, yo!!]
